“A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS” (2026): GOOD SERIES TV

 

 

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is an upcoming American fantasy drama television series created by Ira Parker and George R. R. Martin.

A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011–2019), it is set to be the third television series in Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire franchise and is an adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas.

It stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall ("Dunk"), the titular hedge knight, and Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire Aegon Targaryen ("Egg").

The series is scheduled to premiere on January 18, 2026, on HBO and will consist of six episodes. In November 2025, ahead of the first season premiere, the series was renewed for a second season, which is expected to be released in 2027.
